18 February 1964, The Beatles meet Cassius Clay (Muhammad Ali).
The Beatles were taken to the training camp of boxer Cassius Clay – later known as Muhammad Ali – who was preparing for his 25 February fight against heavyweight champion Sonny Liston at the Fifth Street Gym in Miami Beach, Florida.
p.s. A week later Sonny Liston failed to come out for the seventh round of the title fight and Cassius Clay became heavyweight champion of the world, a title he’d hold on three separate occasions over the next 15 years.
